Project Soledad
California Organic Remodel
This La Jolla project started in 2021 when the owners had purchased a home that had all the glamour of an 80's home. Carpeted bathrooms, mirror walls, and of course a sunken living room. We removed walls to open up the kitchen, and eliminated a random powder bath to create a bigger mudroom, and the old sunroom became a fun lounge - complete with kombucha on tap.
Materials throughout were in the California Organic realm, with a mix of gorgeous marbles, zellige tiles with oak floors and cabinets. For the lighting they wanted a slightly modern vibe, but all sphere shapes, to which we complied. In the primary bedroom the tambour oak wall, along with the hidden jib doors in the T&G walls, are our favorite features.
